7-9-25 Planning and Zoning Meeting — Minutes

Village of Brooklyn Planning & Zoning Commission July 9, 2025 The Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting was called to order on July 9, 2025, by Mike Brusberg at 6:03 p.m. at the Village Hall. Commission members present were Christian Allen, Scott Meier, Mike Brusberg, and Dale Arndt. Members absent: Janeen Podgorski, Jacob Bachim. Also present was Deputy Clerk-Treasurer Vicki Olson. Public Comments - none Meeting Minutes - Allen made a motion to approve June 11, 2025. Meier seconded. Discussion. Vote taken; motion carried. Flood Plan Ordinance – Discussion about floodplain differences between commercial and residential areas, annexing land, and properties in floodplains. Act 175 & CRS were optional to add to the ordinance, which can be added later if needed due to annexations. Allen made a motion to recommend adopting the Flood Plan Ordinance as presented. Arndt seconded. Discussion. Vote taken; motion carried. Vacant Citizen Committee Position – Allen motion made to send to the village board for approval of Mark Bruner as the citizen member for Planning and Zoning. Arndt seconded. Discussion. Vote taken; motion carried. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 19, at 6:30 p.m. Allen made a motion at 6:14 p.m. to adjourn. Arndt seconded. Discussion. Vote taken; motion carried.
