Report to the Information Technology of Green County MEETING DATE PREPARED BY July 9, 2026 Nicholas Owen, County Administrator AGENDA ITEM: 6. Discussion and Possible Action: Contract for Interim IT Department Oversight i. Contract with CTnetworks for Interim IT Department Oversight BACKGROUND Administration sought proposals from two current IT contractors to provide administrative oversight of the IT Department while we search for a permanent IT Director. We chose CDW and CTnewtorks as the vendors as they currently work with the IT staff and have a good knowledge of our IT network and operations. CTneworks was highly responsive, held multiple meetings in preparing their proposal and provided an addendum to meet the requirements requested by Corporation Counsel. CDW proposed a staffing agency role for interim oversight, where they would screen and provide candidates for us to interview for the role and, as of today, have not provided the quote for these services. The contract with CTnetworks is for an 8-week period for $23,080 for 40 hours of management and engineering services per week. The contract includes an opportunity to extend if we need additional time and the addendum was written to provide an opt-out provision if we find a Director that can start before the contract's original end date. CTnewtorks staff will be assisting with installation of the new server, reviewing and sitting in on interviews of IT Director candidates and providing other technical assistance on projects as needed. One question you may have after reviewing the contract, it calls out that some larger projects, such as server upgrades, are not included. That does not include our current server project as that was specific work we requested from them. RECOMMENDATION Approval of contract with CTnetworks.
