CITY OF WATERLOO SPECIAL FINANCE, INSURANCE & PERSONNEL COMMITTEE: MEETING MINUTES August 18, 2026 1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL. C. Kuhl called the meeting to order at 5:06p.m. Members in person: Weihert, Haseleu and Kuhl. Absent: none. Others attending in person: Mayor Quimby, Chief Butzine, Asst. Chief Whitebird, Lt. Butzine, Colton Butzine, Tim Thomas, & Fire/EMS staff. 2. NEW BUSINESS a. 2027 Budget Discussions i. Fire: Finance, Insurance, and Personnel Committee, along with Chief Butzine discussed the 2027 Budget Submittal for the Fire Department/EMS. Amendments to the budget were discussed and made. Discussion. NO MOTION. b. General Budget Discussion: Discussion. NO MOTION. 3. ADJOURNMENT: Discussion. MOTION: Motion by Haseleu to adjourn, seconded by Weihert. VOICE VOTE: Motion Carried 3-0.
