Palmyra Police & Fire Commission Minutes Tuesday, January 27th, 2026 Palmyra Village Hall 6:00 P.M. The meeting was called to order at 6:00pm by Chairman Dooley. Roll call: Stefanczyk, Bealhen, Dooley, Simmons – All Present Guests – Director Paul Blount Motion by Bealhen – second by Simmons to approve the minutes from 12/4/25 Roll call – Bealhen, Dooley, Stefanczyk & Simmons all ayes, motion carried. Business: Discuss Police and Fire, & EMS personnel issues and candidates. Motion by Dooley second by Simmons to convene into closed session at 6:07PM with staff, pursuant to §19.85(1)(c) Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Specifically updates on Public Safety Department personnel matters. Roll call – Bealhen, Stefanczyk, Simmons & Dooley all ayes, motion carried. Motion by Bealhen - second by Simmons to reconvene to open session at 7:59 PM Roll call – Bealhen, Stefanczyk, Simmons & Dooley all ayes, motion carried. Outcome of business conducted in closed session: The commission decided to table the issue regarding the personnel review of the Interim Police Chief until further notice.
