Ixonia Town Board Meeting – 5.11.2026 @ 7:00 1. Call to Order & Roll Call - Call to Order at 6:59 by Chair Derge, all members present, acting sec. Kester also confirmed proof of posting. 2. Pledge of Allegiance 3. Special Plaque Presentation from American Legion Post 91 for the “Flags for Ixonia” initiative – Presented by Dale Seager and Jerry Wendt, provided brief overview of project, read inscription and thanked Ixonia residents for their support. 4. Approval of Minutes: April 13, 2026 – Motion to approve made by Rick Z. seconded by Dan R. Passed 5-0 5. Public Comment – Persons wishing to speak will be allowed three (3) minutes to address the board. - None 6. Treasurer’s Financial Report: April 2026 – Motion to approve made by Rick Z. seconded by Dan R. Passed 5-0 7. Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and/or Jefferson County Supervisor Report – Supervisor Degner advised ACT 212 was signed by Gov. Evers (new levy limit related to EMS). As part of the EMS work group, he attended 2 presentations that 2 school groups completed as part of a class project which was intended to review the needs of the county and provide possible solutions 8. Unfinished Business: - None 9. New Business: a. Consider and possible action regarding the preliminary plat from Gremar, LLC C/O David Werning - Autumn Ridge IV subdivision with approximately 59 lots west of Woody Lane; from parcel 012-0816-2134 034, owned by Richad D & Karen J Adams Trust – David Werning presented and fielded questions. Motion to approve made by Rick Z. (with staff and engineering review and approval), seconded by David K. Motion passed 5-0. b. Consider and possible action on Fermented malt beverage retail license application for Ixonia Youth Baseball; D/B/A IYB; W371 Madison Ave - Ellen Chiesa, Agent – Question regarding application (missing from packet) however no changes from previous years applications. Motion to approve (with staff review of application) made by Tom C and seconded by Dan R. Motion carried 4-1 (Rick Z was the no vote) c. Consider and possible action regarding the promotion of Patrick Schultz to Assistant Chief – Chief Sauer presented request, outlined background, qualifications etc. Motion made to approve by Rick Z. seconded by David K, motion carried 5-0 d. Discussion and possible action allowing the Clerk/Treasurer to participate as other employees do with the compensation hours – Agreed upon in prior closed session, Motion to approve (memorialize previous decision) made by Rick Z. seconded by Dan R. Motion passed 5-0 e. Discussion and possible action regarding revisions to Planning Commission volunteer structure – David Kester presented recent discussions with Planning Commission structure. He to step down as Chairperson (remain as member) and nominated Heather Harris as Chairperson. Also eliminate position of Vice Chair. These changes were approved by the Planning Commission unanimously. Motion to approve made by Rick Z and seconded by Dan R. Motion passed 5-0. f. Discussion and possible action clarifying policy of stipend payments to Board/Commission/Committee members - No action taken 10. Staff Updates a. Clerk/Treasurer Lesser - NA b. Public Works Superintendent Degner – Review of storm damage, park and road closures due to high water levels. c. Fire & EMS Chief Sauer – Review of monthly report, discussed small vehicle DOT certification completed. d. Utility 11. Upcoming Meetings: • Plan Commission – Amay 26, 2026 @ 7 pm • Ixonia Fire Dept.
