Park & Recreation Commission Meeting Minutes March 2nd, 2026 1. Call Meeting to Order, Roll Call and Pledge to the Flag: Chairman Peter Mark called the meeting to order at 5:05 pm. Members present included Amanda, Ewert, Rick Ziegler, Chris Griswald, and Carl Jaeger. Ryan Lipovsek was absent. 2. Approval of minutes: Jeager made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. Ewert seconded the motion. Motion carried, 5-0. 3. Report from Park & Recreation Staff: No updates 4. Discussion and action on Summer help: It was reported that there were 2 applicants as of the deadline today. 5. Discussion and possible action on 2026 Easter egg Hunt a. Saturday April 4 b. 10am crafts start – Amanda to organize c. 11am egg hunt d. Crafts – Amanda to review ordering options e. $500 donated from for Ixonia Volunteer Firemen’s association for crafts projects, candy & prizes f. Ixonia school reservation 9am to noon – Ryan confirmed reservations g. 4H will stuff eggs March 2nd h. Easter Bunny 4H is set to arrive at 9:30 am, other volunteers should arrive by 9 am. Reviewed and discussed details. It was decided to spend $50 on prizes and $100 to purchase 200 crafts. Easter egg hunt is for ages “0” to 4th grade. There are 2 golden eggs per category. 6. Update, discussion and possible action on filling open Park & Rec Committee positions: No discussion 7. Discussion and possible action on fundraising for playground equipment at Ixonia firemen’s park a. Fundraising Working Group activities. b. Community fund raising events It was reported that holding a bingo fundraiser is proving to be difficult, due to the state requirements and to find an organization that is willing to take out the license. It’s not a done issue, but it is taking longer than anticipated. Ewert reported that she is meeting with the Ixonia Fire Association on March 12th at 7 pm. 8. Update on Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ixonia Elementary school/Oconomowoc School District: Clerk Lesser will send this over to the school for their signature. 9. Discussion and possible action on review of park rental/use fees a. Firemen’s park pavilion -$125 b. Ski slide park pavilion - $125 c. Softball pavilion - $50 d. Hardball pavilion - $50 Griswald made a motion to leave rentals fees as is for 2026. Jaeger seconded the motion. Motion carried, 5-0. 10. Review previous months Financial Reports: The reports were reviewed. 11. Next meeting date – April 06, 2026 at 5pm (possibly move/cancel due to election)– Ixonia Town Hall: It was decided to move the meeting to Monday, April 13th at 5 pm. 12.
