. . Park & Recreation Commission Minutes February 2, 2026 1. Call Meeting to Order, Roll Call and Pledge to the Flag: Chairman Peter Marks called the meeting to order at 5 pm. Members present included Ryan Lipovsek, Chris Griswald, and Carl Jaeger. Commissioners absent were Rick Ziegler and Amanda Ewert. 2. Approval of minutes: Lipovsek made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. Jaeger seconded the motion. Motion carried, 4-0. 3. Report from Park & Recreation Staff: No report presented 4. Discussion and action on Summer help: An update was given; the job posting has been placed. 5. Discussion and possible action on 2026 Easter egg Hunt a. Saturday April 4 b. 10am crafts start – 11am egg hunt c. Crafts – Amanda is working on crafts d. Request funds for crafts projects, candy & prizes from Ixonia Volunteer Firemen’s assoc – a check has been received from the Fireman’s Association. e. Ixonia school reservation 9am to noon – Ryan stated this is all set, just waiting on the certificate of liability. f. 4H will stuff eggs March 2nd – candy is needed by next meeting in order to have the 4H Club stuff the eggs. It was noted that the person doing the face painting will charge a flat fee of $200. Griswald made a motion to approve paying the face painter $200. Jaeger seconded the motion. Motion carried, 4-0. 6. Update, discussion and possible action on filling open Park & Rec Committee positions: No discussion on this item. 7. Update on 2026 baseball contracts: Contracts have been sent to the teams, waiting for them to return signed. 8. Discussion and possible action on donations for playground equipment at Ixonia firemen’s park, committee activity and additional community fund raising events a. Committee meet January 7th and January 29. b. Tentative plans for Bingo night fund raiser - March 20th i. Concessions Discussed bingo night date and times. It was discussed to keep concessions light, popcorn, chips and beverages. Mark made a motion to approve the date and time and to request permission from the Town Board to use the hall. Lipovsek seconded the motion. Motion carried, 4-0. 9. Discussion and possible action on Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ixonia Elementary school/Oconomowoc School District: Lipovsek made a motion to approve recommending approval of the MOU to the Town Board. Griswald seconded the motion. Motion carried, 4-0. 10. Discussion and possible action on review of park rental/use fees Review previous months Financial Reports: Reports were reviewed. It was noted that at the next meeting the park rental fees should be reviewed. 11. Next meeting date – March 02, 2026 at 5pm: Reviewed. 12. Adjourn: Lipovsek made a motion to adjourn at 5:40 pm.
