Special Town Board Meeting — Minutes

SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES THE TOWN OF IXONIA January 29, 2026 1. Call to Order & Roll Call: Chairman Brian Derge called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Supervisors present included Dave Kester, Amy Rinard and Dan Rupnow. Rick Ziegler was excused. 2. Pledge of Allegiance: All those present stood to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. Public Comment – Persons wishing to speak will be allowed three (3) minutes to address the board: None 4. Unfinished Business: None 5. New Business: a. Johnson & Block Auditor Jeff Osvog will be here to present the 2024 audit report: Jeff Osvog was present to discuss the financial standing of the Town of Ixonia as well as Sanitary Districts 1 & 2. Discussions of internal controls, budget amendments, and fund balance was the focus of the report. Osvog assured the Board that he was comfortable with the processes the town has in place for internal controls. Osvog also confirmed that due to the size of the town’s operation, it is not possible to implement all the suggested practices. Osvog also reported that the Town’s fund balance is at a healthy level. Road projects in 2024 did use some of that fund balance, but it was reported that a budget amendment was not completed to move the funds into the budget, but this can still be done. 6. Upcoming Meetings: Clerk/Treasurer Lesser reviewed the upcoming meetings. • Park and Recreation Meeting – February 2, 2026 @ 5 pm • Ixonia Fire Dept. Officer’s Meeting – February 4, 2026 @ 6:30 pm • Town Board Meeting – February 9, 2026 @ 7 pm • Plan Commission – February 25, 2026 @ 7 pm 7. Adjourn: Kester made a motion to adjourn at 7;02 pm.
