Special Town Board Meeting — Minutes

THE TOWN OF IXONIA SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES December 29, 2025 – 5:30 pm 1. Call to Order & Roll Call: Chairman Brian Derge called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm. Roll call indicated that Supervisors Dave Kester, Rick Ziegler, Amy Rinard and Dan Rupnow were present. 2. Pledge of Allegiance: Those in attendance stood to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. Public Comment – Persons wishing to speak will be allowed three (3) minutes to address the board: None 4. Unfinished Business: a. Consider and possible action regarding payment request #25 and final from Staab Construction in the amount of $81,341.00 for the new WWTF: Ziegler made a motion to approve pay request #25 from Staab Construction in the amount of $81,341.00. Kester seconded the motion. Motion carried, 5-0. b. Consider and possible action regarding payment request #9 and final from Super Excavators in the amount of $71,450.00 for the lift station project: Ziegler made a motion to approve payment request #9 from Super Excavators in the amount of $71,450.00. Rinard seconded the motion. Motion carried, 5-0. c. Consider and possible action regarding payment request #6 and final from Super Excavators in the amount of $28,142.46 for the force main project: Kester made a motion to approve pay request #6 from Super Excavators for the force main project in the amount of $28,142.46. Ziegler seconded the motion. Motion carried, 5-0. 5. Closed Session: Chairman Derge read the following notice: You are hereby notified that the Board of Supervisors of the Town of Ixonia, following all regular business, will convene into closed session. The purpose of the meeting and the fact that the Board intends to convene in closed session for the below -delineated purposes. Upon motion duly made and seconded and acted upon by the majority of the members present as required under §19.85(1)(a), Stats., the closed session will take place which may be attended by the Town Board and staff. The purpose of the meeting is to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Under §19.85(1)(c), Stats. Specifically, Fire/EMS Chief Rinard made a motion to enter into closed session at 5:37 pm. The motion was seconded by Ziegler. Roll call vote indicated a unanimous voice vote. The Town Board adjourned from closed session on a motion by Rupnow and seconded by Ziegler at 6:07 pm. Motion carried, 5-0.
