Posted: . Date: . Park & Recreation Committee Minutes Monday, November 3rd, 2025 1. Call Meeting to Order, Roll Call and Pledge to the Flag: Chairman Peter Mark called the meeting to order at 4:56pm. Members present included Ryan Lipovsek, Carl Jaeger, Chris Griswold, Amanda Ewert and Rick Ziegler. Town of Ixonia staff present included Ben Degner and Andrew Beaudette. Those present stood to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. 2. Approval of minutes: Jaeger made a motion to approve the October 6th, 2025 minutes as presented. Lipovsek seconded the motion. Motion carried, 6-0. 3. Report from Park & Recreation Staff: Beaudette gave update. a. General Update; Dugout roofs are planned to be replaced in November. Supplies have been purchased to move forward with this project. b. Parks closure for the season; All parks are closed/winterized for the season. c. Activities for 2026; Repair cracked bathroom floor at Fireman’s Park and redo kitchen floor at Ski Slide Park. 4. Discussion and possible action on Fall Festival review; overall the attendance was down this year despite good weather. Discussion regarding combining the event with Trunk or Treat or Trick or Treat was had along with additional ways to advertise (school newsletter, social media, more signs, in conjunction with another event). a. Sunday October 26, 2025 10am – 2pm costume judging at 1pm b. Knights running concessions c. Donations, - Ixonia Vol Fireman’s Association, Inc. – Donation for event $500 – Chris; There was some money, candy and Culver’s ice cream tokens left over that can be used for future events. d. Costume judges, Thank you to the Fire Department staff for assisting. e. Advertising – Signs f. Touch-a-Truck – Rick g. Venders – Rick h. Food trucks i. THANK YOU notes to Touch-a-Truck and vendors; Chris will get thank you note cards and write out thank you notes. Vendor information was shared with her for mailing. 5. Discussion and possible action on additional community fund raising events; Consider doing a Gala type event using the Fireman’s Hall, Brat Haus at Pernat’s (Spring), Kevin from 3Barn Media could do an advertisement using drone footage and boost it on social media. 6. Fundraising efforts for playground equipment at Fireman’s Park; see above #5 7. Update, discussion and possible action on filling open Park & Rec Committee position; No new applications have been received. Currently there is 1 open position on the Park and Rec Committee. 8. Discussion on 2026 budget; No Park Impact study will be needed as there was a recent increase to the Park Impact fee at the end of 2023 for 2024. 9. Discussion and possible action on park use fees including baseball contracts; Ewert made a motion to approve the baseball contracts with one change to #4 letter a to state One Hundred and Five dollars ($105) per field per day. Ziegler seconded the motion. Motion carried 6-0. Contracts will go to Town Board for final approval. a. Contract in packet 10. Discussion and possible action on park activities for 2026; Ewert discussed holding a ceremony in the park for the reveal of the Peter Morris monument. 11. Review of previous months Financial Reports; Reviewed 12. Next meeting date – December 1, 2025 at 5pm 13. Motion to Adjourn; Jaeger made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 5:58pm.
