SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES OF THE TOWN OF IXONIA June 18, 2025 1. Call to Order & Roll Call: Chairman Brian Derge called the meeting to order at 4:30 pm. Supervisor’s present included Dave Kester, Rick Ziegler, Amy Rinard, and Dan Rupnow. 2. Pledge of Allegiance: All those present stood to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. Public Comment – Persons wishing to speak will be allowed three (3) minutes to address the board: Perry Goetsch conveyed to the Board the need for continuity on the Plan Commission, especially with the potential of new development coming to the town. Goetsch commented that there should be a mix of old and new on the commission. 4. Unfinished Business: a. Consider and Act on Plan Commission appointments - Perry Goetsch, Heather Harris, Kurt Pernat, Andy Maduscha, and David Kester: Rinard made a motion to divide the question, to vote on each one separately. Rupnow seconded the motion. Motion carried, 5-0. 1. Rinard made a motion to approve appointing Heather Harris to the Plan Commission for a 3-year term. Ziegler seconded the motion. Motion carried, 5-0. 2. Rinard made a motion to approve Dave Kester to the Plan Commission for a 3-year term. Ziegler seconded the motion. Motion carried, 5-0 with Kester abstaining. 3. Rinard made a motion to appoint Andy Maduscha to the Plan Commission for a 3-year term. Ziegler seconded the motion. Motion carried, 5-0. 4. Derge made a motion to appoint Perry Goetsch to the Plan Commission for a 3-year term. The motion died for a lack of a second. 5. Derge made a motion to appoint Kurt Pernat to the Plan Commission for a 3-year term. The motion died for a lack of a second. b. Consider and Act on job description and ad for Fire Chief position: Discussion was held regarding the Chief’s suggested changes to the job description. Chairman Derge stated that Clerk/Treasurer Lesser will take the changes discussed and agreed upon by the Board back and provide a clean copy for the next meeting. No official action was taken by the Board on this item. 5. New Business: None 6. Upcoming Meetings: • Ixonia Fire Dept. Officer’s Meeting – July2, 2025 • Park and Recreation Meeting – July 14, 2025 @ 5 pm • Town Board Meeting – July 14, 2025 @ 7 pm 7. Adjourn: Ziegler made a motion to adjourn at 5:17 pm.
