MEETING MINUTES Town Planning Commission May 28, 2025 1. Call to Order, Roll Call and Pledge of Allegiance: Chairman Brian Derge called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Derge turned the meeting over to Commissioner Perry Goetsch to facilitate. Goetsch called for the roll call, which indicated Heather Harris, Kurt Pernat, Chairman Brian Derge, Perry Goetsch, and Carl Jaeger were present. Don Loppnow and Adny Maduscha were absent. 2. Proof of Posting and Notice: Clerk Lesser indicated that notices were posted as required. 3. Approve Minutes from February 26, 2025: Pernat made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. Goetsch seconded the motion. Motion carried, 5-0. 4. Discussion and possible action regarding the request by Robert & Kim Turney to rezone from A-1 to A- 3 creating a 4-acre residential lot at corner of River Road and Hustisford Road; parcel 012-0816-1921- 000: Robert Turney explained that their daughter and son-in-law would like to build a home on the property. He noted that he was within the number of allowed splits by county zoning. Goetsch called for commission comments, there were none. Goetsch called for public comment, there were none. Pernat made a motion to approve as presented. Derge seconded the motion. Motion carried, 5-0. 5. Discussion and possible action regarding the request by John Buske to rezone A-1 to A-3 creating a 3.2-acre lot around existing house and buildings at W1679 County Road P; parcel 012-0816-2132-000: John Buske explained that the request is to create a lot for his son to build a home on. Buske also indicated that the split was allowable within county zoning. Goetsch asked if any commissioner’s had any comments, there were none. Goetsch called for any public comment, there were none. Harris made a motion to approve the request as presented. Derge seconded the motion. Motion carried, 5-0. 6. Discussion and possible action regarding Jefferson County amending the County Comprehensive Plan and Agricultural Preservation and Land Use Plan (Farmland Preservation Plan) – including proposed rezones from A-1 Exclusive Agricultural to A-T Agricultural Transition: Goetsch explained that the County, at the request of the town, is updating their zoning map to match the town’s comprehensive plan. Derge made a motion to approve the county zone update. Jaeger seconded the motion. Motion carried, 5-0. 7. Motion to Adjourn Jo Ann Lesser, Clerk/Treasurer
