MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN OF IXONIA May 14, 2025 1. Call to Order & Roll Call: Chairman Derge called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Supervisors present included David Kester, Rick Ziegler, Amy Rinard, and Daniel Rupnow. 2. Pledge of Allegiance: This item was not preformed. 3. Public Comment – Persons wishing to speak will be allowed three (3) minutes to address the board: None 4. Unfinished Business: a. None 5. New Business: a. Consider and possibly act on Park lawnmower: Degner reported that the mower deck on the new lawnmower has some serious issues and there is not fix at this time and the lawnmower is not operational, it’s a hazard risk to employees. Chairman Derge was able to negotiate with the Bobcat dealer to trade in the current one for a zero turn 72” cut and a compactor and only have to pay a difference of $4,417.89. Monies that were budgeted for a third employee in the park department will be utilized to offset the additional funds needed to purchase the new equipment. Ziegler made a motion to move forward with trading in the defective lawnmower for the new 72” cut zero turn and compactor with the additional $4,417.89. Rupnow seconded the motion.
