Special Meeting Minutes October 29th, 2024 1. Call to order, Roll call and Pledge of Allegiance: Chairman Perry Goetsch called the meeting to order at 6:06 pm. Roll call was completed, Supervisors present included Rick Ziegler, Amy Rinard, and Dan Rupnow. Dave Kester joined the meeting at 6:11 pm. 2. Proof of Posting and Notice: Clerk/Treasurer Lesser confirmed the postings at Ixonia Bank, Town Hall, and the Ixonia Post Office. 3. Consider and Act on the 2024 Force Main Project Agreement with Mary Lane Sanitary District and Village of Lac La Belle: Ziegler made a motion to proceed in favor of the 2024 Force Main Project agreement with Mary Lane Sanitary District and the Village of Lac La Belle. Kester seconded the motion. Motion carried, 5-0. BUDGET WORKSHOP 2025 Presentation by Department Heads 1. Review of Budget from last session 2. Park & Recreation Budget 3. Transfer/Recycling Budget 4. Utility District #1 & #2 5. Highway Department 6. Fire Department 7. Town Board and Town Hall Budget The budget numbers were reviewed by department, questions were asked by the Board with regards to breaking down the numbers for better clarification on certain line items. Changes were made to revenues to include the remaining ARPA funds, totaling $50,000. Expenses were reduced in the Clerk/Treasurer wages to incorporate a 4% increase in 2025 wages, which would then also reduce FICA and WRS. Attorney fees was included at 20,000. With these changes, the remaining balance of $14,985 which was to be included in the fire department capital outlay-fire hall line item to be used towards a feasibility study. Once these changes are made, the budget would balance. 8. Set Public Hearing date and review public notice: This item was not set due to the timing of the publication of the budget in the paper.
