Town Board Meeting — Minutes

June 17th Minutes Town of Hiles Board Meeting Wednesday, June 17th 2026 Hiles Town Hall, Wood County Chairman Bargender called the meeting to order at 5:55pm. Present were: Chairman Rebecca Bargender, Supervisor Jeff Costigan, Supervisor Mark Gudel, Treasurer Soraya Krostag, and Clerk Cassandra Pio-Stoflet Other: The minutes of the Wednesday May 13th, 2026 Hiles Town Board meeting were pres ented. Moved by Supervisor Mark Gudel and seconded by Supervisor Jeff Costigan to accept the minutes as presented. Motion carried. The Treasurer’s report for March was presented. Moved by Supervisor Jeff Costigan and seconded by Supervisor Mark Gudel to approve as presented. Motion carried.  Town Assessor is not ready for Board of Review and requests postponement until August 2026. Clerk will contact in early July to schedule.  Ivy Dow acquisition remains on the agenda as unresolved . Clerk contacted attorney Bill Gamokey who has requested a formal legal description of the parcel t o begin work. Will need to work with Assessor and/or Department of Transportation to acquire.  Pre-blast survey was completed and attended by Jeff Co stigan.  Waste Management is requesting a map of all addresses . Clerk is working with WM to compile list. Approved for hourly age of $20 with a maximum of 10 hours if necessary to complete.  Motion to fill and seal town hall parking lot this year by Jeff Costigan, seconded by Mark Gudel Correspondence: The bills were presented for payment. Moved by Supervisor Mark Gudel and seconded by Supervisor Jeff Costigan to make all payments as presented. Motion carried. Next Town of Hiles Board Meeting will be July 8th at 6pm. Moved by Supervisor Mark Gudel and seconded by Supervisor Jeff Costigan to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
