3806 MISHICOT VILLAGE BOARD Special Meeting August 25, 2026 CALL TO ORDER President Samz called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE ROLL CALL Present: Trustees Brenda Yauger, Al Beranek, Terri Brouchoud, Judy Ferry, Bernie Samz, John Franz and Sue Scheinoha Absent: None Officials Present: Clerk Kathy Reissmann Others Present: Tom Krajnik, Jim Haese, and Bill Koch NEW BUSINESS A. DISCUSSION/APPROVAL ON ENFORCEMENT OF DOUBLE PERMIT FEE FOR FAILING TO OBTIAN A PERMIT BEFORE WORK STARTS. The Board continued the discussion of whether to enforce the double permit fees for Schaus Mechanical. Discussion was held and Trustees Brouchoud/Franz moved to not enforce the double permit fees this time only and to warn them that if it happens again, double permit fees will be enforced. Roll call indicated: Ayes- 6, Nays-0, Abstained-1 (Ferry). Motion carried. B. DISCUSSION/APPROVAL OF PROPOSED CONTRACT WITH THE MISHICOT FIRE DEPT. Discussion was held with the members of the fire department that were present on the future fire department contract. Bill Koch noted that the past formula of 1 mil of equalized value was no longer being used and they presented a proposal of 2.5% increase each year of the 2025 fee of $135,032.00 for 2027 ($138,407.80) and 2028 ($141,868.00). Trustees Ferry/Beranek moved to approve the fire department contract with a 2.5% increase for 2 years. Roll call indicated: Ayes-7, Nays-0, Absent-0. Motion carried.
