City of Bayfield Common Council • October 1, 2025, Special Meeting Minutes Page 1 of 1 SPECIAL MEETING City of Bayfield Common Council October 1, 2025, Meeting Minutes 7:30 a.m. • Bayfield City Hall, 125 South First Street, Bayfield, WI 54814 Meeting called to order at 7:30 a.m. Attendance Present Council: Acting Mayor/Council President Lyn Cornelius; Councilors Matt Carrier and Diane Fizell City Staff: City Clerk Grace Stolen Public: None Excused Council Member Bill Bland Review/Approve Agenda Motion by Carrier, seconded by Fizell, to approve the agenda as drafted. All ayes. Public Comment: None Agenda 1. Resolution #634: Authorizing the Treasurer to Borrow Motion by Carrier, seconded by Fizell, to adopt resolution #634 as submitted. All ayes. 2. Temporary Location for City Hall Staff Staff did a walk-through of a nearby office coming up for rent soon. Current lease is up after December, but there may be flexibility. Lease term would likely be twelve months; a council member asked about doing month-to-month for flexibility, and Cornelius said she could inquire about this. Intention is for admin staff to relocate since public works and police staff are in and out throughout the day. Some names have been floated for City Hall Task Force members; Common Council could consider specific appointments at an upcoming meeting. There is some openness to non-City residents serving if they have the right qualifications. A study of a lot of sites the Task Force may consider was done around 2021; this report should be presented to the Task Force as they start their work.
