Minutes of the Bayfield Carnegie Library Board of Trustees Meeting Library Board of Trustees Meeting: Wednesday, June 17th. Called to order at 4:00 pm. ATTENDANCE Present: Teresa Weber, Mary Lynch as president, Annunziata Feldis, Shyam Gray, Vicki Redenbaugh, Linda Georgeson, Jon Carpenter, Bill Bland (4:45ish) MINUTES Motion to approve the minutes of the May meeting made by Redenbaugh, seconded by Feldis. Motion Carried. FINANCIAL REPORTS • In fund 252, line item for programming is money from the box in lobby. Line item miscellaneous is from the copier. Motion to move $10,000 from checking to jumbo savings made by Georgeson, seconded by Gray. Motion Carried. Motion to pay bills made by Feldis, seconded by Georgeson. Motion Carried. LIBRARIANS REPORT • The event ‘100 Who Care’ was a success and we received nearly $2,000. • The Repair Café is the 2nd Saturday of the even numbered months. CONTINUING BUSINESS • Landscaping Report: A survey will likely be needed to determine grade and property lines. Amber at C&S Design, who we will be hiring as contractor, will request bids from 3 landscaping firms. Any project over $10,000 needs to be bid for, as per City of Bayfield ordinance; the state has that number at $25,000. • Lift Report: Arrow Lift has done an inspection and the new lift door will be the same width as the old door, but will be a bit shorter. We will need to hire a commercial electrician for the project, have someone go into the attic to locate the joist, and have a header built above the door. We are hoping for installation in September. NEW BUSINESS • Welcome Jon Carpenter to the board FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS • Report from the landscaping committee • Lift update • The grant for the Tech Guy is ending. Another source of funding, in conjunction with other area libraries? The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 15th at 4pm. Meeting adjourned at 5:01 pm.
