Minutes of the Bayfield Carnegie Library Board of Trustees Meeting Library Board of Trustees Meeting: Wednesday, November 19th. Called to order at 4:05 pm. ATTENDANCE Present: Teresa Weber, Mary Lynch as president, Shyam Gray, Bill Bland, Ryan Hogan, Linda Georgeson, Annunziata Feldis MINUTES Motion to approve the minutes of the October meeting made by Georgeson, seconded by Bland. Motion Carried. FINANCIAL REPORTS • Payments made by check are being entered onto the city spreadsheet right away. Credit card payments are hopefully entered up to June. • Teresa has no guesses as to how close we are to budget. She hopes to have a better idea by January. Motion to pay the bills made by Georgeson, seconded by Feldis. Motion Carried. LIBRARIANS REPORT • Physical visits are down as expected. • Bob Feyen donated tile and time to tile the kitchen. • Teresa has found a new source for books. • The Serviceberry gathering was well attended. • The extra water used to spray the building in the tuck-pointing project made the water bill for this summer noticeably higher. CONTINUING BUSINESS • There are still no poet laureate applicants. • The Friends group is drafting an annual appeal letter. A volunteer to help organize mailing labels in Excel is needed. NEW BUSINESS • Teresa is attempting to write more policies, based on advice from DPI. Motion to approve the new Library Closing and Inclement Weather policy made by Feldis, seconded by Georgeson. Motion Carried. • Teresa will be gone a few weeks in January. Laura will be doing the January board meeting, and will practice doing the bills in December. Heidi will be retiring at the end of January. • Teresa received an email from Carnegie Libraries 250 regarding a gift of $10,000. She has completed the necessary paperwork. Motion to give Teresa the authority to pay the December bills made by Gray, seconded by Feldis. Motion Carried. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 21st at 4 pm.
