Minutes of the Bayfield Carnegie Library Board of Trustees Meeting Library Board of Trustees Meeting: Wednesday, January 17th. Called to order at 4:03 pm. ATTENDANCE Present: Mary Lynch as president, Teresa Weber, Shyam Gray, Linda Georgeson, Ryan Hogan, Vicki Redenbaugh, Lyn Cornelius 4:32 MINUTES Motion to approve minutes of November meeting made by Georgeson, seconded by Hogan. Motion Carried. FINANCIAL REPORT Motion to approve the financial reports made by Gray, seconded by Redenbaugh. Motion Carried. LIBRARIANS REPORT · The January Jubilee was a great success. · March will be the month for the Round-Up grant from the Chequamegon Food Co-op. CONTINUING BUSINESS · The posts for the monument signs are in. Signs will follow. · The new poet laureate is Ted Gephart. NEW BUSINESS · Jenny Tumas will be leaving her position on the board and acting president starting in April. A new board member will need to be found within the city limits. Teresa will advertise at the front desk. · Motion to amend the by-laws, Article 111, Officers, Section 1, to read: “The officers shall be a president, a vice-president, and a secretary elected from among the appointed trustees at the annual meeting of the board in April” made by Georgeson, seconded by Redenbaugh. Motion Carried. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS · Discuss reviving Friends of the Library · Review a grant application with the Duluth Community Foundation The next meeting is scheduled for February 21 at 4 pm. If the time needs to be earlier in the month for the Northern Waters deadline of the annual report then Teresa will notify the board members.
