City of Bayfield Architectural Review Board September 22, 2025 Meeting Minutes Call to Order: Chair Carrier called meeting to order at 5:00pm. Roll Call: Bogaard, Carrier, Phillips, Shrider, and Whittet. Others present: Craig Hoopman, Billie Hoopman, and Terese Lynch. With,Tim Johnson and Lucille Sells via internet. Approve Agenda: Motion by Bogaard/Phillips to delete Item # 4 and approve. Approved all ayes. Approve Minutes: Motion by Phillips/Bogaard to approve. Approved all ayes. Public input on agenda items: None. Agenda: Item # 1 Building Permit Application #38-25: Timothy Johnson and Terese Lynch. Constructing a deck, Exterior stairway, and modifying siding to Garage At 141 North 1st St. Motion to approve as presented by Shrider/Bogaard. Discussion ensued regarding setbacks and deck placement . Motion by Shrider/Bogaard to amend to, conditional to presented survey regarding placement of deck. Discission ensued regarding placement of deck. Motion by Shrider/Bogaard to approve application without deck and patio door. Roll call approved all ayes. Item # 2 Building Permit Application #32-25: Craig Hoopman. Addition to 207 Wilson Ave. Motion by Bogaard/ Shrider to approve as presented. Discussion ensued. Roll call approved all ayes. Item # 3 Building Permit Application #33-25: Gail Nordstrand Dahlstrom. New Construction on unaddressed parcel at Manypenny Avenue and unopened South 13th St. Motion by Phillips/Bogaard to table application to later date as representative not present. Motion carried all ayes. Item # 4 Historic Preservation Commission: Next steps Discussion regarding ongoing progress establishing HPC. Item # 5 Correspondence: None.
