DIVINE Bayfield County Clerk LMD/ejt Public Private Partnership Between Bayfield County, WI and Norvado WHEREAS, Bayfield County Wisconsin proposes a public private partnership with Norvado, a Cable based corporation for broadband expansion in Bayfield County; and, WHEREAS, The Bayfield County Board has a strong record of broadband support and is committed to service extensions to all county residents and businesses; and, WHEREAS, Bayfield County believes broadband is a critical resource for all residents; and, WHEREAS, Norvado is a long-term partner of Bayfield County with five previous collaboration projects; and WHEREAS, Norvado has proposed an expansion project just outside of the City of Bayfield serving over 80 residents that Bayfield County wants to form a public-private partnership on; and WHEREAS, Bayfield County has resources including but limited to funding, easement, permissions to use publicly owned real estate and other items of value to the project; and WHEREAS, Bayfield County is willing to discuss other in-kind assistance to the grant project; and; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, Bayfield County agrees to form a public private partnership and authorizes the Bayfield County Executive Committee to finalize this agreement; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, Bayfield County agrees to contribute $5,000 towards the project; and BE IT FURTHER REOLVED, Bayfield County agrees to provide easements and rights of way and other items of value that are agreed upon up to $10,000.
