Public Works Committee Meeting Public Works Committee meeting, Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the City Hall. Those present were Tom Goldsmith, Michael Cifaldi, Bill Lussier, Steve Anderson, Arlene Frisinger, Randy Reeg by phone, Devon Fredrickson and other citizens. Goldsmith called the meeting to order at 10:30 a.m. A motion was made by Lussier, seconded by Anderson, to approve June 23, 2026, Public Works Committee meeting minutes. Motion carried. A motion was made by Cifaldi, seconded by Anderson, to recommend to council the paving of Berdan St. 650’ west of Industrial Ave. in the amount of $21,475.00 with Barron County doing the work. Motion carried. Discussion regarding the sidewalk replacement on Grove St. around 560’ where the trees were removed. This will be brought back to the August meeting. No action taken. A motion was made by Cifaldi, seconded by Lussier, to recommend to council Final AFP #4 from Erickson Excavating for TID #9 Industrial Park expansion in the amount of $107,595.32. Motion carried. A motion was made by Lussier, seconded by Cifaldi, to recommend to council to approve entering into a land use agreement with the DNR regarding the sidewalk subject to Nezzy’s agreeing to keeping the sidewalk cleaned. Motion carried. A motion was made by Lussier, seconded by Cifaldi, to recommend to council for approval Ordinance #2026-828 An Ordinance Amending Section 10.03(6) Regarding Control of Weeds and Grasses. Motion carried. Updates: Ryan Suko new Street Department employee is starting Wednesday. Pine Valley land needs to be taken care of. Buck Street has had a pontoon left on the blacktop in the heat and has caused holes in the road. Who is responsible for the repairs.
