Discussion on the following items: Mike Bigner and Mike Nielsen have met with Internet Strategies for Business and brought a proposal. This is attached, and a vote to approval by email is being asked. You will receive a separate email for this approval. Annual Meeting, penciled in dates for January 23, 24, 25, 31, and February 1st. We will be asking if the band (Sean & Ian Okamoto), that was not able to perform at Music in The Park would be available for the annual meeting. Ann will check with Woody and the band. Reviewed Music in The Park, invoices need to be resent out with corrected name. Will have final numbers for the September meeting. There is left over Bush Light Apple that will be brought out to the Church Barn and served with the Wine, Beer, and Food Tasting Event. Will look to bring back Chris Kroeze, Johnny Cash Tribute, and the Memories as they were well received and drew large numbers. The Catholic Youth Group was scheduled to serve food, and did not purchase the perishables, so they are able to use the pulled pork. There was an agreement to send them a $100.00 donation because of the profits they lost, will send out in email to approve. Wine, Beer and Food Tasting. Several food vendors are confirmed, still looking for a few volunteers to help serve food for vendors who are unable to be there, possibly Dove Healthcare could help. Need to get posters to Dallas/Ridgeland areas in the next week or so. Advertising will run in the Barron paper for two weeks, the Chetek paper for one week and on the radio ten days before the event. Handed out the list of Chamber Board Members and businesses divided up by member. The intent is for each Board Member to contact the businesses and develop a direct contact to help promote the upcoming events. The Business After 5 and the Wine, Beer & Food Event should be promoted over the next few weeks. Shirts with Logo’s were discussed and there are a few options that Jessica has Melissa have investigated. Possibly having Northwoods Promotion do a store on our new site where we can order and pay for what we like. We will continue discussion at the next meeting. The turkey promotion for Thanksgiving was discussed and will need to have details added at the next meeting to be ready for late October, November promotion. Halloween Event, Salem Lutheran Church is having their event on October 29th. A planning meeting will be September 15th at 11:30 before the Chamber meeting. An email will be sent out. January Sleigh Ride – Cobblestone has offered the use of their lobby/conference area to help host event. Thinking of maybe incorporating the sleigh ride on the golf course and Rolling Oaks possibly having hot dogs and hot chocolate.
