Page 1 of 1 SPECIAL LIBRARY BOARD MEETING Tuesday June 24, 2025 6:00 PM Meeting Zoom Minutes Members present: Mary Whittaker, Paula Wurst, Kerrey Andreas and Marilyn Hartig Members absent: Mike Peterson, Peggy Ross and Keith Ryskoski Staff present: Lauren Schuppe, Library Director The Madeline Island Library Board meeting was called to order by Mary at 6:18pm. I. Public Comment – none II. Minutes A. Regular Library Board Meeting June 17, 2025 Motion by Paula to approve the above minutes as presented, seconded by Kerrey, all ayes. Motion Carried. III. Personnel A. Hire Hailie Nichole for Summer Rec Director II Motion by Paula to hire Halie Nichole as Summer Rec Director II and also approve lease for housing with Barb With seconded by Kerrey, all ayes. Motion Carried Motion by Kerrey to Hire Halie Nichole at $20/hr. not to exceed 500 hours from 6/24/25 – 9- 1-25, seconded by Paula, all ayes. Motion Carried B. Hire Heather Soderberg Posey for Summer Rec Assistant III Motion by Paula to hire Heather Soderberg Posey for Summer Rec Assistant III at $18/hr. not to exceed 100 hrs. from 6/24/25 – 9/1/25, seconded by Marilyn, all ayes. Motion Carried. IV. Vouchers A. Approve Vouchers Evan & Evan Landscaping $ 350.00 Everest, James 1,000.00 Motion by Kerrey to approve vouchers as presented, seconded by Paula, all ayes.
