Page 1 of 2 pages Town of La Pointe Public Arts Committee Thursday January 16, 2025 5:00 pm at Town Hall/Zoom Minutes Members present: Mary Atmore; Chair, Marmie Jotter, Madeline Rupp and Robin Trinko Russell Staff present: Max Imholte, Town Administrator 1. Call to Order/Roll Call The Public Arts Committee meeting was called to order by Mary Atmore at 5:00 pm. 2. Public comment – none 3. Minutes of the following meetings to be considered for approval: A. December 11, 2024, 2024 Motion by Robin to approve the minutes as presented, seconded by Maddie, all ayes. Motion Carried. 4. Committee Projects Discussion A. 2025 Winer Medallion Hunt –planning 1. Rules, prize money amount and other contingencies • Motion by Marmie to set prize money at $250, seconded by Maddie, all ayes. Motion Carried. • Motion by Maddie to change the 2024 rules to add that town employees are not eligible, seconded by Marmie, all ayes. Motion Carried. • Motion by Maddie to hold the Medallion Hunt 2/9/25 – 2/15/25 with clues being released daily. If the medallion is not found by 2/15, the prize money will be forfeited, seconded by Robin, all ayes. Motion Carried. Members will continue to work on clues. Maddie will create posters and will need to work with Town Hall on the link to the Town’s website. Maddie will reach out to the La Pointe School to send clues home with the kids. Marmie noted that Chris Baldwin made the medallions this year. B. Create Wisconsin – membership renewal Motion by Marmie to renew Create Wisconsin membership for $75, seconded by Robin, all ayes. Motion Carried. 5. Recommendations to Town Board 6. Public Comment - none 7. Set next Meeting Agenda and Date Thursday February 27, 2025 @ 5pm 8. Adjourn Motion by Maddie to adjourn, seconded by Robin, all ayes. Motion Carried.
