We have in house capabilities that are unmatched by our competitors. Licensing We are State Certified General Contractors and licensed Playground Safety Inspectors. This means that we have the knowledge, experience and legal ability to complete your project. Many firms that install playground equipment are unlicensed, inexperienced and uninsured. Experience Accountability We still believe that the customer is always right. This means that you are getting the absolute lowest price possible. We do not utilize sales reps, middle men or distributors like many of our competitors do, this gives you more purchasing power. We have hundreds of playgrounds available for purchase and can custom design most anything to meet your needs. We have a vast product offering including shade structures, site amenities and playground surfacing like artificial turf and poured in place rubber. Installation We are one of only a few companies in the United States that actually service and install the produc ts we sell in house. This means that the person you speak to when you buy your playground may very well be the person who installs it. Our competitors use local sub contractors, many of whom know nothing about installing a playground or playground safety, and worse many of whom are unlicensed, uninsured and a high risk. Please distribute to full Parks and Rec Committee and I will try to get there before the meeting ends to take any questions. Reported to Town Board on 7/2 that we were moving forward with underground sprinkler installation by Oleson-Hall, and that we are planning on completing the Prairie Planting portion of this project at Walden Park this year. We are still committed to not spending beyond the $2,000 allocation from the Town without outside contributions. I've brought Petenwell and Castle Rock Stewards (PACRS) on board as an additional partner to assist with fund raising and volunteer recruitment. They have submitted the grant proposal that I wrote up to Incourage Foundation for the $2,500 maximum. Upon last minute reviewing of the Incourage Foundation guidelines, I found out that they only want to give one grant per year to each non-profit, so since 14 Mile Watershed Alliance already received funds from them for the "Sock for Docks" biochar project, we could not apply again this calendar year. PACRS stepped up to submit the application and will apply all funds received to the Walden restoration. We expect to hear from Incourage by early August. With the first Walden restoration, Public Works assisted with ground prep by running a Harley rake over the seed bed. I have sent an email to Cody asking for that to happen again, if possible. The seed bed area was staked out two weeks ago. 2 We are awaiting the sprinkler system install as soon as the contractor will fit us into their schedule. At this point it looks like the seeding will take place early fall. Depending on donations from Incourage and other community organizations, we will add rain garden and fencing as they are funded. There is a small carry-over of around $50 from donations that DRAFT is holding from the Walden hillside project that I have asked be donated to Parks and Rec towards this new seeding. AƩached are the proposal form and spec sheets for the three Miracle Machine opƟons available to you. Understand, Miracle has an agreement with Rube Goldberg FoundaƟon to create play components uƟlizing their philosophy of every acƟon creates other acƟons. With that informaƟon, I want you to know that these play events are not able to be match by other playground companies so if you like the concept, Miracle RecreaƟon is the only company that can help you with this specific project. These components do not require a safety surface and are priced as a “direct bury” installaƟon. If you want to install these on a concrete pad then I can check and see if the cost is any different for a “bolt down” installaƟon so just let me know how you plan to install. Watch as it flies through dominoes, passes the flag, and knocks down a banana. Then, there’s a decision to make—put it into Cat’s bowl, or give the treat some fishy flavor by first passing it through the tank? This not only helps kids recognize the impact their actions have, but builds upon their decision-making skills. Each turn at the play panel yields a variety of outcomes depending upon the path taken, reinforcing the notion of cause and effect, especially as it relates to machine thinking.
