She said they are public lakes and the public should be able to access them if they buy a boat license. Zimmerman asked if Town residents could get a free sticker since they pay taxes in the Town. Walejko stated they are only charging for lakes with water skis and people who live on the lakes are exempt. Zimmerman asked if they would consider it. Walejko said yes. Zimmerman then asked why is there a stop sign on 20th Dr off of County F going downhill but not going up? Walejko stated to slow people up. Rick Diermeier questioned why there are no “Order of the Town Board – No swimming, fishing or loitering” signs up on Little Hills Lake like on the other lakes. Walejko stated that people would get on the boat landings and not get off so that’s why the signs are up, but signs are only on lakes that have bigger boat landings. It is not an ordinance, as the DNR wouldn’t let them do an ordinance. Little Hills Lake has a place for people to swim. Mike Hoch, from Cedar Springs Lake was asking about parking around the lake. Walejko stated that lake has a wider road because it was built later. Walejko stated still wanted to make sure everyone realized that parking needs to be off the road so emergency vehicles can get through.
