MINUTES—TOWN OF MARION—BOARD OF SUPERVISORS ANNUAL MEETING April 17, 2025 Notices posted at The Silvercryst, Moose Inn, Town Hall & Website Notice published in Argus The Annual meeting of the Town of Marion, Waushara County, was called to order by Town Chairman Garrel Walejko on April 17, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall. Present: Chairman Garrel Walejko, Supervisor David Chase, Supervisor Bill Behnke, Clerk Vicki Snyder, Treasurer Karen Savignac, Deputy Sheriff Adam Spitler, Barb Bartel, Jim Peirce, Todd Chesbro, Bob Savignac. The 2024 Financial Report was read by the Clerk. A motion to approve the 2024 Financial Report was made by Jim Peirce and seconded by Bob Savignac. Motion carried. Minutes of the April 18, 2024 Annual Meeting were read by the clerk. A motion to approve the minutes was made by Supervisor Chase and seconded by Barb Bartel. Motion carried. A motion was made by Supervisor Behnke to hold next year’s Annual Meeting on April 16, 2026 at 7:00 p.m., the third Thursday of April at the Marion Town Hall. The motion was seconded by Supervisor Chase. Motion carried. Chairman Walejko noted that 22nd Avenue from Hwy. 21 to County Road F will be seal-coated this year. Chicago Pt. Road and Fr. Ed Bier Drive will also be completed. The blacktop on Chicago Pt. Road must be broken up to make sure there is enough base. The county will do the work. The county will also be digging out about 100’ on Cree Avenue. The potholes in the town roads will be fixed when the weather warms up. With no other business, a motion to adjourn the Annual Meeting was made by Supervisor Behnke and seconded by Supervisor Chase. Motion carried.
