by Waushara County. Deputy Sheriff Spitler informed the town board the county will be
acquiring body cameras and is replacing the computer systems and cameras in the squads.
Nothing will be purchased until the end of the year. The cost will be around $16,000.00.
Proposals for video storage, which would need to be supplied, are included. It is recommended

PUBLIC COMMENTS
Mary Kunash, representing the McComb Bruchs Performing Arts Center Foundation board which
was formed to raise funds for the PAC when fixtures within the facility fail, spoke to the town
board about a campaign to replace the lighting in the PAC. If the lights fail to work, there are no
longer parts available for the lighting system installed in 1991. It is a $400,000.00 project and
$337,000.00 has been already raised. She is traveling to the townships in the area to ask for a
$5,000.00 donation from each township. The City of Wautoma will match donations 3 to 1, up to
$30,000.00. The board indicated they would discuss the topic and put it on next month’s agenda.
Wautoma Police Chief Paul Mott spoke to the board about operating the 2025 water patrol for the
town. Chairman Walejko indicated there may also be a few Waushara County Sheriff Deputies
who would be interested in working for the water patrol as well. Chief Mott stated their contract
would be comparable to the contract with Waushara County and he will give the contract to the
attorney to review.
Chairman Walejko has also spoken with the attorney regarding the possibility of a “no
powerloading” ordinance for our boat launches.
