Deputy Sheriff’s Report
The town received four hours of “free” coverage by the State Patrol for speeding tickets this past
month. With all the rain we have received, there are washouts on some roads – on Czech by 24th,
on Hwy. N toward Redgranite, and on Happersett Lane.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
Ed Kissinger stated he received negative feedback on water patrol leaving the lake early and not
being on the lake at appropriate times. Chairman Walejko mentioned that when the Waushara
County Sheriff’s Department begins the day short-staffed, they will call in the Deputies on water
patrol. Ed Kissinger suggested they stagger their lake coverage, maybe assign a few hours of
water patrol duty to Deputy Spitler, and that writing a few tickets will spread the word.
Chairman Walejko stated Brian is looking into Norton’s Dry Dock in Green Lake for our dock
and lift installations in the future.
SPECIFIC MATTERS FOR DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION BY THE TOWN
BOARD:
a. A discussion occurred concerning creating a possible power loading boat ordinance.
b. A discussion occurred regarding the Deer Lake easement for the weed cutter and DNR
lake shocking boat.
c. A discussion regarding the legal abandonment of a previously planned town road in
Camp Lucerne occurred.
APPROVAL OF PAYMENT OF CURRENT BILLS was motioned by Supervisor Chase and
seconded by Supervisor Behnke. Motion carried.
Supervisor Behnke made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Supervisor Chase.
Motion carried.
