Deputy Sheriff’s Report Deputy Sheriff Adam Spittler will be taking over for Deputy Sheriff Weber as town officer sometime after the week of June 17. The electronic switch for the parking brake in the squad has been ordered from Sondalle but has not yet arrived. There have been two car chases in the township within the last week. Signup for Water Patrol is not as full as we would like to see. Deputy Sheriff Weber will talk to people individually about this. Deputy Sheriff Spittler will also be taking Water Patrol training. Deputy Sheriff Weber is moving on to manage Waushara County’s Recreational department year-round and may potentially work on Silver Lake during the weekdays. As far as a wake-boating ordinance, legislative attempts at the state level have failed twice. The definition of the term “wake-boat” is the problem. The DNR is strongly advising against any local ordinance at this time because it will be challenged. PUBLIC COMMENTS Ed Kissinger stated that Silver Lake Management District now has their own website: www.wautomasilverlake.com. If there is anything the Sheriff wants to post, please contact them.
