MINUTES—TOWN OF MARION—BOARD OF SUPERVISORS ANNUAL MEETING April 18, 2024 Notices posted at The Silvercryst, Moose Inn, Town Hall & Website Notice published in Argus The Annual meeting of the Town of Marion, Waushara County, was called to order by Town Chairman Garrel Walejko on April 18, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall. Present: Chairman Garrel Walejko, Supervisor David Chase, Treasurer Karen Savignac, Clerk Vicki Snyder, Deputy Sheriff Adam Weber, Barb Bartel, Kevin Fitzgerald, Bob Savignac. The 2023 Financial Report was read by the Clerk. A motion to approve the 2023 Financial Report was made by Kevin Fitzgerald and seconded by Bob Savignac. Motion carried. Minutes of the April 21, 2023 Annual Meeting were read by the clerk. Clerk noted a revision made in the minutes by Chairman Walejko. A motion to approve the minutes was made by Bob Savignac and seconded by Barb Bartel. Motion carried. A motion was made by Kevin Fitzgerald to hold next year’s Annual Meeting on April 17, 2025 at 7:00 p.m., the third Thursday of April at the Marion Town Hall. The motion was seconded by Bob Savignac. Motion carried. Chairman Walejko noted we will be re-doing the dead end on Chicago Pt. Road. It is breaking up in the turnaround area. The area will be surveyed by Trent Nelson and then re-paved. Fr. Ed Bier Drive must also be re-paved. Brian Freimark with Waushara County indicated we will need a permit from the DNR to begin work on Klein’s boat landing. The county will also have an engineer to look at what type of improvements we can make at the Fox Tail Bay landing. The town will be sending out bids for snow plowing at the end of the summer. The town will be cleaning up the Mar Cemetery. With no other business, a motion to adjourn the Annual Meeting was made by Bob Savignac and seconded by Kevin Fitzgerald. Motion carried.
