The town board indicated they were in support of Deputy Weber going out on boat patrol during a few of his regular shift hours. PUBLIC COMMENTS Resident Mark Lewis asked if the town has washed its hands of their short-term rental concerns for Spring Lake. Chairman Walejko indicated the replies from our town attorney and a municipal attorney were similar; you can write an ordinance but you will be sued. They are litigating 2 or 3 short-term rental cases right now. If you want to enforce covenants on Spring Lake Estates Drive only, and allow only the person who builds the house can live in it, you can file a civil suit. The town cannot enforce covenants, and was advised not to pursue this. SPECIFIC MATTERS FOR DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION BY THE TOWN BOARD: a.
