Executive Committee Meeting — Minutes

Executive Committee Meeting Monday September 28, 2026 The meeting was called to order at 8:53 a.m. Present: P/Tim Ganzel, T/Tom Lauritzen, Robert Jansen (Street Supervisor and Sewer Operator) and Lindsey Inda (Village Clerk/Treasurer). Harold Hansen Jr (Streets and Sewer Assistant) was present upon request after the meeting started. T/Lauritzen seconded by P/Ganzel made a motion to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried. T/Lauritzen seconded by P/Ganzel made a motion to move into closed session per Wisconsin Statutes 19.85(1)(B) Considering dismissal, demotion, licensing or discipline of any public employee or person licensed by a board or commission; and 19.85(1)(C): Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Performance evaluation and consideration of disciplinary action; Review and discuss employment needs of the Streets and Sewer Department. Voice Vote: T/Lauritzen aye and P/Ganzel aye. T/Lauritzen seconded by P/Ganzel made a motion to return to open session. Voice Vote: T/Lauritzen aye and P/Ganzel aye. The Committee reviewed disciplinary action forms for Harold Hansen Jr and reviewed continued performance concerns with Robert Jansen. P/Ganzel seconded by T/Lauritzen made a motion to terminate employment for Harold Hansen Jr effective immediately with full pay through the end of the current pay period (ending October 3, 2026). Motion carried. Harold Hansen Jr was called into the meeting and notified of the termination decision. Lindsey Inda was directed to repost the job opening for Streets and Sewer at $25/hour and leave the application open until position is filled.
