Executive Committee Meeting — Minutes

Executive Committee Meeting Tuesday July 21, 2026 The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. Present: P/Tim Ganzel, T/Tom Lauritzen, T/John Eilers, Robert Jansen (Street Supervisor and Sewer Operator) and Lindsey Inda (Village Clerk/Treasurer). T/Lauritzen seconded by T/Eilers made a motion to move into closed session per Wisconsin Statutes 19.85(1)(C): Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Considering employment – Sewer/Street Position. Voice Vote: T/Eilers aye, T/Lauritzen aye, and P/Ganzel aye. T/Lauritzen seconded by T/Eilers made a motion to return to open session. Voice Vote: T/Eilers aye, T/Lauritzen aye and P/Ganzel aye. The committee reviewed the applicant recommendation from the Street and Sewer Committees. T/Lauritzen seconded by T/Eilers made a motion to approve the offer of employment to Harold Hansen Jr by 5 year contract to include starting pay at $20/hour, 80 hours of vacation, eligibility of health insurance, Wisconsin Retirement, deferred compensation, and PTO/leave as established in the employee handbook and an additional $1/hour wage increase for every 2 tests passed until Operator in Training Certificate is obtained. Motion carried. T/Lauritzen seconded by T/Eilers made a motion to approve a $2/hour wage increase for Robert Jansen effective immediately. Motion carried. The committee requested that Lindsey Inda send letters to the other applicant(s) notifying them of the decision. Harold Hansen Jr’s position as a Village Board Trustee will be vacated upon acceptance of the offer. The open trustee position will go to the Village Board at the Regular Board Meeting on August 5 for appointment.
