Street & Sewer Committee Meeting — Minutes

Village of Wild Rose Sewer/Street Committees Meeting Wednesday September 24, 2025 The Street and Sewer combined meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. Present: Mary Pilz, Tom Lauritzen, Robert Jansen and Lindsey Inda. Steve Yeska present at 6:45 p.m. Lindsey Inda provided the committee with a copy of the proposed 2026 budget for both Streets and Sewer departments. The committee discussed future projects to include the Hwy 22 reconstruction and need to begin planning and financing the project starting with the 2026 budget. The committee discussed sewer rates and proposed a 4% consumption rate increase for 2026. The committee also discussed the need to increase General Fund revenues to continue covering inflationary costs and additional future projects including street resurfacing, sidewalk repairs and building repairs or replacement costs. The committee is recommending a change from a 50%/50% cost share of garbage services to a 75% resident/25% Village cost share. The committee also requested that Lindsey reach out to City of Wautoma and Village of Plainfield to see how they cover garbage hauling costs.
