Special Common Council — Minutes

MINUTES FROM THE CITY OF WAUTOMA MEETING OF THE SPECIAL COMMON COUNCIL MONDAY, MAY 6th, 2024 6:00 p.m. Mayor Nixon called the Special Common Council meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 6th, 2024. Present: Mayor Nixon, Alderpersons Pat King, Eric Tratar, Bob Cayer, Steve Ryerson, Aaron Grimm and Ryan Petersen Excused: None Prayer and Pledge took place. Alderperson Ryerson motioned to approve minutes from the Regular Common Council meeting held on April 15 th, 2024 and Finance and Personnel Committee held on April 15th, 2024, and the motion was seconded by Alderperson Tratar and carried 6-0. Alderperson King motioned to approve the council agenda with the addition of a $1,000 Augustfest donation. The motion was seconded by Alderperson Petersen and carried 6-0. Administrator Bohler presented the review of bank account information Alderperson King motioned to approve Ordinance #2024-01 regarding annexation of the Highway Department from the Town of Dakota. The motion was seconded by Alderperson Ryerson and carried 6-0. Alderperson Ryerson motioned to approve licenses for the Wautoma Wine Walk, Freedom Fest, Music in the Park, and the Wautoma Beer Walk. The motion was seconded by Alderperson Tratar and carried 6-0. Administrator Bohler presented his report to Council. Mayor Nixon presented his report to Council. Police Chief Paul Mott presented his report to Council. Alderperson Petersen motioned to approve the monthly vouchers, which was seconded by Alderperson Tratar and carried 6-0. Alderperson King motioned to approve Eric Vezina as City Code Representative. The motion was seconded by Alderperson Ryerson and carried 6-0. Alderperson Grimm motioned to approve $1,000 for Augustfest, which was seconded by Alderperson Petersen and carried 6-0. Alderperson Grimm motioned to approve the establishment of the Joint Municipal Court. The motion was seconded by Alderperson King and carried 6-0. Alderperson Cayer motioned to approve Tom Kubasta as the Wautoma Area Municipal Court Judge. The motion was seconded and carried 6-0. Alderperson King motioned to move into Executive Session to discuss an employee matter. The motion was seconded by Alderperson Petersen and carried unanimously through Roll Call Vote. Alderperson Grimm motioned to move out of Executive Session, which was seconded by Alderperson Tratar and carried 6-0. Alderperson Grimm motioned to adjourn, which was seconded by Alderperson Tratar and carried 6-0.
