MINUTES FROM THE CITY OF WAUTOMA MEETING OF THE REGULAR COMMON COUNCIL MONDAY, OCTOBER 9th, 2023 7:30 p.m. Mayor Nixon called the regular meeting of the Regular City of Wautoma Common Council to order at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, October 9th, 2023. Present: Mayor Nixon, Alderpersons Patrick King, Eric Tratar, Ryan Petersen, Bob Cayer and Steve Ryerson Excused: Alderperson Grimm Prayer and Pledge took place. Alderperson King moved to approve the minutes from the Regular Common Council meeting held on September 11 th, 2023, Special Common Council meeting held on September 28th, 2023, and Finance and Personnel Committee held on September 11th, 2023. The motion was seconded by Alderperson Ryerson and carried 5-0. Mr. Bohler presented both the General Fund Budget Comparison and bank account report. Alderperson Cayer motioned to approve the agenda which was seconded by Alderperson Tratar and carried 5-0. Mr. Bohler presented his report to the council. Mayor Nixon presented his report to the council. Alderperson Tratar moved to approve the payment of monthly vouchers. The motion was seconded by Alderperson King and carried 5-0. Alderperson Ryerson motioned to approve Pay Application 3 – Waupaca Street Project to Kopplin & Kinas, Inc. The motion was seconded by Alderperson Cayer and carried 5-0. Mr. Bohler reviewed the 2024 Proposed Operating Budget and Budget Highlight sheets. Mr. Bohler asked for objections to the purchase of a street sweeper, which would be the largest purchase of the 2024 Annual Budget. There were no objections and the sweeper purchase was confirmed in the Capital Improvement Program Mr. Bohler reviewed the 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Plan. Alderperson Ryerson motioned to set the public hearing for the Proposed 2024 Annual Operating Budget for Monday, November 2th, 2023 at Wautoma City Hall, 210 E. Main. The motion was seconded by Alderperson King and carried 5-0. Alderperson Tratar motioned to adjourn, which was seconded by Alderperson Ryerson and carried 5-0.
