Town of Fence Road Inspection Minutes May 22, 2026 Road Inspection started at 8:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. The chairman called the meeting to order. Present were Chairman Frank Smith, Supervisor Travis Stebane, Supervisor Terry Woehler, Marty Kerker. Forest Rd. - needs repair at the town line between Fence & Armstrong Creek, Need to find out who is responsible. Christnovich Rd- One owner mentioned to town worker that they don't need to plow. The town board needs a request from all property owners stating that. Roads needing grading, graveling, patching and brushing: Yobbs Rd- needs grading. LaMontangue - logs on side of the road. Ben Nicols Rd. - patch. Homestead Joint Rd.- patch. Lunds Rd.- brush. West Lunds Lake Rd.- drainage ditch. Lund Lake Rd.- needs grading and graveling. Lunds Lake Rd.to the boat landing- needs grading and graveling. East River Rd.- has washouts. West River Rd.- has washouts, needs graveling and the turn around needs attention. Walnut Rd.- has washout. Martinson Rd.- needs grading and graveling ,drainage ditch. Maple Drive- sides need graveling by Meyer's and all the way to Morgan Lake Rd. A lot of repair needed. Hedmark Rd.- needs grass cut on the sides of the road. Newald Rd.- Brush and gravel. Discussion about widening turn around for trucks to turn around: Taylor Rd., West Lunds Lake Rd, Palmquist Rd. Supervisor Woehler will order signs for Christnovich Rd., Moller Rd., Twin River Rd., Newald Rd. Requested and ordered: Stop signs, dead-end sign for Heiden Rd., fire number stakes, fence stakes, road sign poles. Request was made that when someone does road checks that they please straighten out signs. Weight limit signs are not to be placed on stop signs as they should have their own mount. Also place on right side of road so visible when driving onto road.
