February 27, 2026 Regular Meeting Minutes (PDF)

Town of Fence Regular Board Meeting February 27, 2026 Chairman Smith called the meeting to order. Roll Call noted all board members, and the clerk/treasurer were present. The pledge of allegiance was said. Motion to approve the agenda was made by Supervisor Woehler with a second from Supervisor Stebane and the motion carried. Motion to approve the meeting minutes for December 2025 was made by Supervisor Stebane and with a second from SupervisorWoehler, the motion carried. Road report noted that the roads are being plowed. Got the hydraulic motor for the sander. Supervisor Woehler reminded that the dump needed to be plowed & the town hall for the meal site on Wednesdays. Fire Department Report noted that they went to Long Lake for training and there were also 8 other departments participating. The Fire Department personnel had pulled out an ambulance at approx. 1 a.m., pants & coats are approximately $4,000 but not sure on price. Brush truck is back and brakes were repaired. They are taking the side by side to the Keyes Peak hill climbs. Webnar training for pipeline and they got their license for the raffle. They hope to replace 4 uniforms every year. Clerk/Treasurer's report noted that quick books went Al. There are issues and we are looking at other financial programs. Mentioned were Workhorse and Town Hall. Looking to put money into cd's to earn interest but it was recommended to wait until the end of the first quarter. Motion to pay the bills along with project graduation and EDC donations made by Supervisor Woehler and with a second from Supervisor Ste bane, motion carried.
