He had the results of the culvert evaluation conducted with the report given in PDF flash drives. The online mapping was shown on our TV . He asked the board to dig into it and then if there are any questions or a special meeting needed, he can come back. • All culverts were given a rating, all pipes were evaluated, and the breakdown is on a spreadsheet by condition. The coolest thing is that every pipe provides a page with GPS coordinates, pictures taken, and description of each finding. • He presented the priority list of what needs attention. • 319 culverts were found. He asked if we identify any missing, please call it in to update the live inventory. • He noted that 22 needs some evaluation. Rot or rust. For the most part that is not bad. Two old boiler pipe culverts were found; these are very old and will outlast us. • Inventory is broken down by size, road name, condition. The spreadsheet will show all the data, very detailed information. • If we use the app available, we can take pictures and upload new information, flooding data, or new work completed and it will sync the data. • The County will match a 50/50 bridge aid for replacements of 36” or larger. We can easily identify what pipes will qualify. • This mapping will allow us to evaluate where to spend our available funds and be proactive in repairs. • Jeff said he can assist with helping to set up the App and show you how to use it. It’s very user friendly. • Scott thanked him and said this is very helpful and will undoubtably pay for itself. • In the Spring they will consult with Jeff as they focus what road work will get completed.
