1 THE VILLAGE OF GAYS MILLS Minutes of a special meeting of the Village Board of Gays Mills held Monday, May 16, 2022, which began at 5:00 p.m. in the Community Commerce Board Room. Village President Harry Heisz called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Roll call was taken with the following present: Ethan Eitsert, Harry Heisz, Josh Kasinskas, Larry McCarn, and Lee Ruegg. Kevin Murray and Seamus Murray were absent. The board received verification that the agenda was posted in accordance with the open meeting law. 5:02 p.m. McCarn made a motion to convene into closed session pursuant to Wisc. State Stat. 19.85 (1)(c) to consider employment positions. Seconded by Ruegg. Motion carried. An applicant was invited into closed session for the cleaning position. At 5:30 p.m. Samuel Gallagher Swimming Pool Manager was invited into closed session. 6:16 p.m. McCarn made a motion to reconvene into open session. Seconded by Ruegg. Motion carried. McCarn made a motion to authorize the Swimming Pool Committee to review the recommendations of the swimming pool manager and approve hiring. Seconded by Ruegg. Motion carried. A committee meeting will be scheduled. McCarn made a motion to approve reference and background checks on applicants, and if acceptable a 30-day probation period for employment.
