TOWN OF MEENON REGULAR MEETING MINUTES MONDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2026 The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chairman Sybers Notice was posted in accordance with Wis. Stats 19.84 Open Meeting Law Motion by O’Brien to approve the agenda order, seconded by Strese motion carried. The minutes of the January 2026 meeting were presented for approval. Motion by Strese to approve the minutes, seconded by O’Brien, Motion carried. January 2026 Treasurer’s report was presented for approval. Motion by Strese to approve the Treasurer’s report as presented, seconded by O’Brien, motion carried. Next meeting scheduled for Monday, March 16, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. Public Comments: T. Wallace asked about the trimming of trees on Lakeview Road. There does not seem to be a 3 foot easement that the tree trimmers are going by. Mr. Wallace said that the tree trimmers could not tell where to start and where to stop, he had 2 trees cut off again. Sybers will go out and check. O’Brien indicated that we have to keep the road right-a-way clear. Mr. Wallace also indicated that Brown’s Tree Service is doing a great job! No new business from the Land Use Planning Committee or New Town Hall Committee. Motion by O’Brien to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the Town of Meenon and the County of Burnett for the Statewide Voter Registration System (WisVote), seconded by Strese, motion carried. Supervisor’s report - Chris is cutting trees, Ipads have to be taken in to be updated and worked on. Chairman’s report - Sybers will be talking to Brown’s Tree Service to look at the rest of Midtown from Lakeview to the boat landing, there might be a couple of trees on Corcoran to be tended to, Sybers will have Chris M. go out and put tape on the trees that should be cut. We should do a lot of chipping done on some roads this springand summer, a road tour needs to be scheduled. Corcoran Road is a divided road, we go from FF North to the bottom of the hill. Motion by O’Brien to have Brown’s cut trees on Jameson and Midtown from Lakeview to the boat landing on the east and the dead trees on Corcoran, seconded by Strese. Motion carried. Bids on shop: spray foam 3” (R22) $9,700.00; spray foam 2” (R14) $6,800.00. Ridge cap must be replaced. Motion by Strese at 7:01 p.m. to adjourn to Closed Session per Wis. Stat. 1985 (1)(g) for conferring with legal counsel for the governmental body who is rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to pending litigation involving Grisen and Mueller 2022 auto accident. (Ms. Jerilyn Jacobs will attend via phone)., seconded by O’Brien. Motion carried. Motion by Strese to reconvene to open session at 7:15 p.m., seconded by O’Brien. Motion carried. Discussion from Closed session - O’Brien will call WTA and talk to a lawyer to see who is responsible for shared roads and who at the State level can we contact about getting a map and how is this determined? Motion by Strese to pay bills, seconded by O’Brien. Motion carried. Motion to adjourn by Strese, seconded by O’Brien. Motion carried.
