if the Town does not facilitate, and it would be hard for them to collect money from everyone.

There was a good discussion at the March meeting regarding private road snowplowing. The residents
came with more information and brought to light different issues. Staff recommends not approving the
repeal of this ordinance and we’ll look at costs. No action was taken.
Supervisor Clark brought forward a concern with 184-3 A. (3). She noted many people have a fire pit that
is surrounded by stone, but the ordinance mentions the outdoor fireplace shall be an assembly of that
includes a bowl, screen sides and a cover. Chief Sawicki mentioned he would be ok with changing it to
recommended outdoor fireplace be an assembly be an assembly of that includes a bowl, screen sides and
a cover. On a motion by Supervisors Clark/Martin, passed on a voice vote, the Town Board approved the

2025-04 an ordinance repealing chapter 281 of the code of ordinances for the Town of Algoma relating

The Town of Algoma is currently under an intergovernmental contract with the City of Oshkosh along
with other municipalities to provide ambulance service through 2026. In 2024, these municipalities
started planning to try and put together our own service with a third-party vendor and have presented
an IGA for that service. Based on information so far, it appears the Town of Algoma would have the most
cost based on population. There would be less service for more money. The town could opt in later. The
County agreed to conduct a feasibility study for County run ambulance and the town will participate.
Supervisor Brooks is concerned about the cost due to past experiences at a county level. It could
potentially cost the taxpayers more. No action was taken.
Clerk/Treasurer Reinbold spoke on how the Town currently has three different documents for hall
rentals and they are not cohesive. Staff would like to temporarily suspend new hall rentals to give time
to create a revised document and make sure the staffing issue is resolved. The board members had

small staff we have time to work on that and make sure our other work can be done as well. On a
motion by Chairman Rasmussen/Supervisor Clark, passed on a voice vote, the Town Board approved to
temporarily suspend new Town Hall rentals for the remainder of 2025.
On a motion by Supervisors Clark/Martin (Van Acken abstained), passed on a voice vote, the Town Board
