Open Forum for Public Comments: Residents of the Town of Nekimi voiced concerns of a property on South Clay
Rd. Fire Chief Sanchez spoke and informed residents and town board that a fire inspection was completed on
10/19/15 and there was no concerning behavior going on, and he will be returning in December to r echeck a few
fire items. Todd Christie, Patrol Captain of Winnebago County Sherriff’s Department spoke and informed residents:
1-2 clients are living there, no notification requirements are required. There is a property in the Town of Utica very
similar to this one, and this is not abnormal. The sheriff’s office has only received two calls on the property, and no
other calls for service. Officer Christie states there may be multiple cars there due to change of shift of staff and
there isn’t a threat to the neighborhood; otherwise residents would have been notified. Officer Todd Christie,
states there is no licensing required for an assisted living with 1-2 clients, and no notification of residents needs to
be provided. The sheriff’s department stated that if residents are concerned about suspicious activity they should
contact the sheriff’s department anytime. Representative Mike Schraa states he spoke with Limitless Possibilities
owner and states there could be four people there at one time during shift chan ge. Town Board will continue to
monitor this and see if the owner of Limitless Possibilities would be willing to attend a Town meeting to answer
resident questions and concerns. At this point if residents have concerns of suspicious activity they should co ntact
the Sheriff’s Department.
Supervisor Schweda moved to pay September bills, 2nd by Supervisor Pollack. Carred 3-0.
