May 19, 2014
Present: Glen Barthels, Larry Schweda, Tom Pollack, Jessica Potratz and Julie Barthels.
A Public Hearing was called to order at 6:30 pm for Michels Materials. The meeting was turned over to Attorney John St.
Peter. The public hearing was held to consider amending the Conditional Use Permit for what used to be the Vulcan
Quarry which is now known as P&Q Oshkosh, LLC. They are asking for two amendments. One, to lower the security
bond that was filed. Two, they would like to reduce the setback line for the berms. After much discussion, a decision
was made to release Michel’s Materials from the obligation to post bond other than the reclamation until drilling,
blasting or extraction of stone, or earlier at the discretion of the town board. Second part for the reduction of the
setback from 200 feet to 75 feet on the West and North side and leave the east and south side as stated in the
conditional use permit. Pollack moved to resolve the conditional use permit as brought forward by the Town Attorney.
