Town of Nekimi Monthly Board Meeting February 17, 2014 Present: Glen Barthels, Tom Pollack, Larry Schweda, Jessica Potratz and Julie Barthels. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Barthels at 7:30 p.m. Schweda moved to approve the January minutes as presented. 2nd by Pollack. Carried 3-0. Treasurer’s Report was presented. Zoning: Discussed the Conditional Use Permit for Michel’s Materials. Michel’s would like to adjust the financial assurance, they would like to do a reclamation bond with East Central. They would also like to move the berms . Board requested that the Clerk contact the Town Attorney to seek his advice on this matter. Schweda moved to pay January bills. 2nd by Pollack. Carried 3-0. Old Business: Road Conditions – The road conditions at this time are rough and snow covered. A town resident voiced concern regarding snow plowing on Fisk Avenue between the frontage road and Clay Road. The road was not completely plowed, only one pass. Chairman asked the resident to contact him when and if it happens again. Adopt a Highway – Wade and Melissa Loberger were present at this meeting to express interest in adopting a portion of Clairville Road to pick up any garbage that is thrown in the ditches. The Town Attorney provided paperwork that would need to be completed before this could happen. Aviation Park – Nothing to report. New Business: Open Book and Board of Review Dates – Open Book would be May 20, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Board of Review would be June 7, 2014 starting at 8:00 a.m. Robert Keller – Candidate for County Board Supervisor District 32 – addressed residents present and reported that there will be a League of Women Voters meeting on March 6, 2014. Correspondence – A letter was received from Jerry Bougie, Winnebago County Planning Director regarding the status of the Property Lister’s office at Winnebago County.
