Town of Nekimi Budget Hearing November 18, 2013 The budget meeting was called to order by Chairman Glen Barthels. The proposed budget was presented by the Town Clerk to the board and residents that were present. Motion by Kathy Sawall to approve the 2014 Town Budget for the Town of Nekimi. 2nd by Larry Schweda. Carried. Budget meeting adjourned. The special town meeting of electors was called to order by Chairman Glen Barthels. Motion by Jessica Potratz for the approval of highway spending equal to the 2014 budget in the amount of $221,000.00 pursuant to Section 80.01(3) of the Wisconsin Statutes. 2nd by Glen Barthels. Carried. Motion by Jessica Potratz for the approval of additional highway spending above the 2013 budget in the amount of $1,000.00 pursuant to Section 80.01(3) of the Wisconsin Statutes. 2nd by Larry Schweda. Carried. Motion by Glen Barthels to adopt a Town tax levy of $193,192.00 for 2013 to be paid in 2014 pursuant to Section 60.10(a) of Wisconsin Statutes. 2nd by Larry Schweda. Carried.
