Town of Nekimi Monthly Board Meeting September 16, 2013 Present: Glen Barthels, Tom Pollack, Larry Schweda, Jessica Potratz and Julie Barthels The meeting was called to order by Chairman Barthels at 7:30 p.m. Schweda moved to approve the August minutes as presented. 2nd by Pollack. Carried 3-0. Treasurer’s Report was presented. Zoning: A zoning map amendment for Paul Knier, Parcel #012-0378-01, was presented to change a lot to A-2 from R-1. By doing this, it would make all the surrounding parcels the same. Pollack moved to accept the change from R-1 to A-2. 2nd by Schweda. Carried 3-0. Schweda moved to pay July bills. 2nd by Pollack. Carried 3-0. Old Business: Road Conditions –All paver patching in the Town is complete. Discussed if the Town should do crack sealing with Fahrner Asphalt. Chairman Barthels will check with Fahrner as to what they feel is the most important area at this time that needs attention. A town resident questioned about the corner of County Road I and County Road N, if it would be a roundabout or left as is. New Business: 2013 Budget Items – The Town Clerk would like to utilize Quick Books to be able to create a Financial Report and to enter Budget Items. Discussed items that need attention in the Town Hall, for Elections and for the Fire Department. The Nekimi First Responders announced their Annual Pizza Sale. Emerald Ash Boar – Supervisor Pollack attended a meeting in regard to the EAB. Stated that there is not much hope for Ash trees surviving this disease. Can be treated, but is very expensive. The wood can still be used during certain time periods. Thank you to Town Residents for a job well done regarding Garbage Pickup. With the new truck in the neighborhood, the driver does not leave the vehicle. Pollack moved to adjourn the meeting. 2nd by Schweda. Carried 3-0. Respectfully Submitted, Julie Barthels, Clerk
